Description
  • Bimat Eye Drop is a medication designed to reduce intraocular pressure (IOP) in individuals suffering from glaucoma or high eye pressure. Elevated pressure in the eye can lead to serious vision issues, including blindness. Bimat works by improving the drainage of fluid from inside the eye, helping to lower this pressure.
  • This eye drop is suitable for both adults and children, and it can be used alone or in combination with other eye medications to manage pressure. It’s essential to follow your doctor’s guidance on dosage and usage to achieve optimal results. Discontinuing use may result in an increase in eye pressure, which could harm your sight. Always check that the seal is intact before using a new bottle, and if you wear contact lenses, make sure to remove them before applying the drops and wait for 15 minutes before reinserting them.
  • Common side effects include eye irritation such as redness and itching. If these persist, consult your doctor for guidance on alleviating the symptoms or consider alternative treatments. Some users may experience temporary blurred vision, so it’s advised to avoid driving or operating heavy machinery until your sight returns to normal.

Side effects of Bimat Ophthalmic Solution:

  • Most side effects are mild and may go away as your body adjusts to the medication. However, if they persist or cause concern, it’s important to consult your doctor.

Common side effects of Bimat:

  • Conjunctival hyperemia (redness in the white part of the eye)
  • Eye itching

Quick Tips

  • Bimat Eye Drop helps lower high pressure in the eye, reducing the risk of vision loss.
  • Apply one drop in the evening or at night in the affected eye(s) for optimal results.
  • Prolonged use may cause brown pigmentation of the iris, which can be permanent.
  • Your eyelashes may become thicker, and the skin on your eyelids may darken. These changes are usually reversible after stopping the medication.
  • Wait 5-10 minutes before applying any other eye medication to the same eye to avoid dilution.
  • Apply gentle pressure to the inner corner of your eye (near the nose) for about 1 minute immediately after using the drop to prevent it from draining.
  • Once opened, ensure to use the medicine within 4 weeks.
